    Client, a Lawful Permanent Resident since April of 1992, was placed in Deportation Proceedings after a trip abroad from the United States. Customs Border Protection (CBP) scheduled him for Deferred Inspection and then Issued a Notice to Appear based on a drug charge. Client was detained at the Krome Service Processing Center. Client was Granted a Cancellation of Removal and was released within three weeks of being detained. Client became a Citizen of the United States less than a year later.
